Advertising Terms

Effective date: August 18, 2026 · Last updated: August 18, 2026 · Version 2026-08-v1

These terms apply whenever a business runs a promotion on Recreation.city. They exist to keep promotions relevant for parents and safe for children.

1. Authorisation and what you can promote

You must be authorised to advertise on behalf of the business and to commit the budget shown. You may promote only your own live Recreation.city listings. Paused, expired and unverified listings cannot be promoted.

Promotions must accurately describe the activity, its age range, its location and its price.

2. Targeting limits

Targeting is limited to metro area and radius, child age bands, and activity interests related to what you are promoting.

You cannot target — and Recreation.city will never provide — child names, exact dates of birth, schools, home addresses, parent identity, contact details, browsing history, or any audience smaller than 10 parents.

3. Audience privacy

Recreation.city delivers your promotion; you never receive the audience. Reporting is aggregated and subject to a minimum threshold. Retargeting individual parents is not permitted.

Parent contact information reaches you only when a parent chooses to enquire, request a trial, or book.

Audience estimates are approximate and do not represent a list of identifiable individuals.

4. Parent data restrictions

The parent data restrictions in the Business Terms apply in full to advertising. You will not:

  • Attempt to identify parents from campaign reporting or aggregated demand data
  • Combine campaign metrics with external data to identify individuals
  • Scrape parent information or bypass privacy controls and thresholds
  • Request access to Recreation.city's parent database
  • Resell or transfer marketplace-derived data

Violation may result in advertising suspension, listing suspension or account termination.

5. Labelling

Every promotion is labelled Sponsored wherever it appears. Sponsored placements do not replace organic search relevance and are capped relative to organic results.

6. Budgets, billing and duration

Your authorised budget is a hard cap: Recreation.city will not deliver beyond it. A campaign ends at its end date or when the budget is spent, whichever comes first.

During managed rollout our team confirms billing with you directly before delivery begins, and no card is charged at submission.

Delivered spend is not refundable. Undelivered budget is never billed. If a payment fails, delivery is paused until the balance is settled.

7. Review, edits and suspension

Every promotion is reviewed before it runs. We may reject or suspend promotions that are misleading, use unsuitable imagery, target inappropriate ages, point to invalid destinations, or breach child-safety standards. You can edit and resubmit at any time; material edits to a live campaign are reviewed again.

8. Performance

Reach, click and enquiry figures shown before launch are estimates based on delivered Recreation.city campaigns. They are not guarantees, and Recreation.city does not guarantee impressions, clicks, enquiries, bookings or revenue.

9. Acceptance and versioning

You accept the current version of these terms each time you submit a campaign. We record the campaign, the accepting user, the version accepted and the timestamp.
