Earned, never bought

Recognition you can actually trust

Real parent experience becomes local reputation. Here's exactly how ratings are calculated, how awards are earned, and what we will never do.

From review to award

  1. 01

    Parents review

Verified, signed-in parents rate five dimensions after a real experience.

  2. 02

    We weight it

A Bayesian weighted mean balances volume and quality so nothing is gameable.

  3. 03

    Thresholds check

At quarter close, only businesses clearing the published review and rating bars qualify.

  4. 04

    Badges publish

New badges go live on city pages at the start of each quarter — never for sale, never sponsored.

Weighted, not gameable

Ratings use a weighted mean that pulls low-volume businesses toward the platform average, so one glowing review cannot outrank a business with a long track record.

Signed-in reviewers only

Every review comes from an authenticated account, one review per account per business. Businesses cannot delete or edit reviews — they can only respond publicly.

Thresholds published up front

Each badge has a minimum review count and rating bar. If nobody in a city clears the bar, that badge simply isn't issued for the quarter.

Never for sale

Recognition cannot be bought, and advertising spend has no effect on rankings or badges. Sponsored placements are always labelled as ads.

New badge cycle every quarter

Currently issuing Q3 2026 badges

Badges are earned, not awarded once. Each cycle counts the reviews verified in that quarter (July–September), so a business that keeps delivering keeps its badge — and one that slips has a fresh chance next quarter. Q4 2026 badges publish on October 1, 2026.

Badge types

Every badge has published, verifiable thresholds and is stamped with the quarter it was earned in. No thresholds cleared, no badge issued.
