1. About Recreation.city

Recreation.city is an activity discovery marketplace. We help parents and guardians find classes, camps, sports, workshops and other activities for children, and we connect them with independent third-party activity businesses.

Recreation.city generally does not operate, staff, supervise or deliver the activities listed on the platform. Those activities are provided by the businesses that publish them.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement in the place where you live to use a Recreation.city account.

If you enter information relating to a child, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or that you are otherwise authorised to provide it.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• The information in your account should be accurate and kept up to date.
• You should not share your login credentials with others.
• Recreation.city may suspend or close accounts that are misused, appear fraudulent, or breach these terms.

4. Child information

Recreation.city is designed to work with as little information about children as possible. You may optionally provide a child's age or age range, their interests, and their activity preferences so we can show more relevant results.

Recreation.city does not require a child's full legal name, school, government identification, medical information, or exact date of birth, and we ask that you do not enter that information in free-text fields.

If a field is optional, leaving it blank will not stop you from searching, saving activities or contacting a provider.

5. Marketplace listings

Listings are created and controlled by independent activity businesses. Each business is responsible for the accuracy of its listing and for the service it delivers, including:

• Accuracy of descriptions, ages, schedules and locations
• Pricing and availability
• Safety, supervision, staffing and facilities
• Service delivery, cancellations and refund policies
• Any licences, permits or insurance required for its activities

Recreation.city moderates listings against its content standards and may edit, suspend or remove them, but we do not independently verify every provider or every listing detail.

6. Enquiries and bookings

Browsing Recreation.city does not reveal your identity to a business. When you intentionally submit an enquiry, information request, trial request, callback request, waitlist request or booking, the information contained in that submission is shared with the provider you selected so that they can respond to you.

The submission screen tells you which provider will receive your details before you send them.

7. Payments

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, bookings and payments are completed directly with the activity provider or through the provider's booking platform. Recreation.city does not currently take parent booking payments.

Prices displayed on Recreation.city come from the business and may change. The provider's own terms govern the booking, cancellation and refund.

8. Acceptable use

When using Recreation.city, you must not:

• Scrape, crawl or bulk-extract marketplace content except as expressly permitted
• Misuse provider contact details, including for unsolicited marketing
• Attempt fraud, payment abuse or misrepresentation
• Upload harmful, unlawful or abusive content
• Impersonate another person, business or Recreation.city itself
• Interfere with the security or availability of the platform
• Use automated systems to interact with the platform in ways these terms do not permit

9. Intellectual property

The Recreation.city name, logo, interface, design system, written content and software are owned by Recreation.city or its licensors. You may use the platform for personal, non-commercial discovery of activities. You may not copy, resell or create derivative products from Recreation.city materials without permission.

Listing content, images and business logos remain the property of the businesses that supply them.

10. Third-party services

Recreation.city links to provider websites, booking systems and other third-party services. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and Recreation.city is not responsible for their content or handling of your information.

11. Disclaimers

Recreation.city is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work to keep listings accurate and the platform available, but we do not warrant that search results, availability, pricing or provider information will always be complete, current or error-free.

Recreation.city is not a party to the arrangement between you and an activity provider. Decisions about whether an activity is suitable or safe for your child remain yours, and we encourage you to check credentials, policies and supervision arrangements directly with the provider.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Recreation.city is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform, or for the acts or omissions of independent activity providers.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where that limitation is not permitted.

13. Account termination

You can close your Recreation.city account at any time from Privacy Choices. Recreation.city may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, creates risk for other users, or is required to be closed for legal or security reasons.

When an account is closed, personal information is removed or de-identified except where we need to keep limited records for security, dispute resolution or legal obligations.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. The current version and effective date are always published on this page. Where a change is material, we will give notice in the product or by email before it takes effect, and we may ask you to accept the updated version.
